Fresh New Kicks!

I couldn't do the Chinatown/Downtown walk to work today. I had at least 8 extra pounds in my backpack (4 lbs. for pistachio nuts from Costco for my counterpart in our Manila office, a toy/earrings for another staffer, my work clothes, food and drinks) and didn't want to chance getting hurt. What I noticed was that with that extra weight, my back hurt! My back hasn't hurt that much since I started the wellness challenge....hmmm maybe I am losing weight!

My walking partner and I went across the street to the shoe store that was closing down. I ended up buying a pair of Nike walking sneakers! On credit! (shhhh don't tell Dave Ramsey). I usually wear running shoes and only a particular brand, but those were wearing down. Besides, it is probably better that I get shoes specifically for walking, since that is a majority of my exercise routine now.
Just Do It.

While Mom was at dialysis, I decided to go walking around the mall again. It was TOOOO humid outside! Ugh! I thought I was going to faint! And it was only a mile or so around! Note to self: bring water! I encountered some giant bugs along the way; forgot the Raid and Black Flag at home so I let them be:

I walked into the Gap to check out what was on sale and found a Size 20 jeans for only $9.99. Usually at the store, I just buy it and "save it for later" (Size 20 wouldn't fit me anymore, so i would save it for "if I ever lose weight"), but this time I decided maybe I should try them on. And they didn't fit...they were TOO BIG. Yey!!! I put them back on the rack and walked out!
Maybe I shouldn't buy any clothes until after the challenge.

...but...OH I needed new sports bras. It's been so long since I last exercised that my old ones are just...well...they just need to be retired! Hahaha! So I bought 2 at Ross! Guess this means I need to do more Chalean Extreme!

I think I'll do some weights before bed. Upper body work. Maybe!
