Mom has money though! So, I check Craigslist for interesting Garage Sales near our home, borrow Mark's car, and we head out the door. I was a little pissed because the first one we went to falsely advertised DVDs for sale; turns out the ad they listed has been up for weeks; they just change the date but not the merchandise listed (DVDs were gone weeks ago, he said. Punk!). Luckily around the corner there was another garage sale, and we picked up a handful of new ones (oooh! John Cena!) for $3 a piece, and she even gave us some for free. Also bought Maui a new friend, an Ugly Doll named Chuckanucka. Though, I don't think he appreciated it all that much because Chucka doesn't squeak.
When I had money, (errr...more like, when I was FRIVOLOUS and spent spent spent vs. paying off my debts) I collected designer/urban vinyl toys, mostly by artists commissioned by Kidrobot. I guess because of my former freelance graphic art background (I used to own my own freelance graphic design company) I'm into "cutesy yet ridiculously expensive things". One of the garage sales was selling some of their extra figures, so I borrowed some cash (yes, I know, Dave says to not borrow from anyone anymore, esp. family! But Mom owes me money anyway) from Mom to treat myself to some rare Dunnys from Series 3, and a brand new GIANT Tokidoki Mozzarella for only $10! I always had the other milk figurines, but couldn't afford to buy their leader ($30+ for a uzi-toting "Moofia" leader? Too expensive!). I bought a wooden DVD rack for $5 too (what a deal!). Mom bought more junk as usual...sometimes I think we could qualify to be on an episode of Clean House!
I also went to work to drop off a bag of fresh mango. Very yummy, but we have too many in the house! Then Mark came home with STRAWBERRY MOCHI! Omg...I was going to eat one and count it as part of my fruit intake...BUT I found an approximate calorie count for one piece, 109 calories. Luckily I'm not a big fan of red bean paste, but it looked reeeeeally yummy, especially the giant fresh Kula strawberry inside. Ah well!
After I dropped Mom off at dialysis, I came back home to get my exercise...clean clean clean part of my room! I washed my screens and tried to organize some of my bookshelves. I am really tired, and I'm not even done yet. I'll just finish tomorrow.
The Bodybugg website is down for maintenance, and I'm tired and need to finish my dinner, so no nutritional values for today. I did eat the following:
Breakfast:
1 c. soymilk
1 c. Kashi Honey Sunshine Cereal
1 apple banana
Snack:
1 Fuji Apple
1 costco turkey wrap roll slice (it's that round slice that has a tortilla wrap, some lettuce, raspberry cheese spread, turkey and tomato...leftover from the grand opening)
Lunch:
4 oz spicy ahi poke (yummy!)
Burger King side salad (1 1/2 c. iceberg lettuce, a little bit of shredded cheese, and barely a drizzle of honey mustard)
1/2 whole wheat pita
Snack:
1/2 mango
1 c. pineapple
1/2 c. watermelon
Dinner:
6 oz. grilled steak
1 c. mixed veggies
1/2 c. white rice
One thing that sucks about measuring my food...I keep losing my measuring cups!!! :D
Steps taken: 8072 (under 10,000 goal, but it's the weekend so that is expected)
Activity Time: 33 mins.
Calories Burnt: 3095
Keep on movin'! :)
