I didn't get to walk further than I usually do or do the 20x laps around the office because I was too busy doing work. :( Today we had our grand opening for the new visualization room in the office (a.k.a. room that has lots of cool giant LCD screens and projection screens for meetings). There was lots of food, mostly healthy stuff since nearly everyone in the office is participating in the challenge. Whenever I go to buffets or potlucks, I normally take a little bit of every dish that I'd like and PILE it on my plate. This time around, I took very little compared to what I normally eat at parties. allotted myself 3 pieces of crab sushi, a piece of whole wheat pita with a thin spread of hummus, 2 pieces of watermelon, 4 meatballs, and 3 chicken wings. OMG...that was too much for me. WAAAAY too much. UGH!!! I felt so bloated, and I never felt this yucky since before the challenge! But the food was yummy, even for Costco-bought food. :)
My family went out to a friend's home for a BBQ. Even MAUI left with them! They called me to drive over, but I declined and decided to stay home and work the bloat off and do the first part of the Chalean Extreme series, Burn Circuit 1! Resistance exercises! Yey! Luckily a friend dropped me home so I could bring my dusty 5 lb handweights home from work. I did 30 mins of various chest, leg and back exercises. Proud of myself; usually I'd just be like, "I deserve a rest day since it was a party day." Chalene Johnson (creator of Turbo Kick/Turbo Jam" would always repeat, "Muscle burns Fat!!!" So as I did each excruciating chest fly, I would yell back, "Yes, Chalene! I know!" I actually met Chalene last year (when I was skinnier...pooh!) at a Hip Hop Hustle Pro Training in Kahului, Maui. She's really short, but she's a powerhouse! I hope to put that Hip Hop Hustle training certificate to use someday after I lose this weight. :)

Not so many calories burnt today, because I didn't move around as much, but I got in my exercise and ate relatively well so that's good for me. The snack plate I ate at the party is a guesstimate, I over guesstimated just to be safe and not cheat myself. Geez that is a lot of calories to eat...that makes me say to myself that I should just stick to eating things that I can find nutritional content for. Ah well, guess I'll save the spicy ahi for lunch tomorrow!
As you can see, the numbers SHOW when I am less active. When you are less active, you need to make sure you don't overeat so that you still have a calorie deficit to lose weight.
UPDATE! After doing Chalean Extreme, I took a shower and got strangely energized...then I dusted off my copy of Turbo Kick Round 31 and did 30 mins of Turbo Kick! WOOO!!! I feel good! I might need another shower....lol!
